Soul Summit Music - Brooklyn

The Soul Summit Music Festival is a weekly event that takes place in Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn on Sunday afternoons, 3pm-9pm from the second Sunday in July through the last week in August. The Festival is always free and open to the public. The Festival showcases artist of various backgrounds including Djs, Vocalist, Bands, Dance Companies, Fashion designers, Filmmakers and Photographers just to name a few.

Over the past five years the Festival has become an institution developing a loyal following of music fans that bring the hills of Fort Greene Park alive with families, food, dancing and community love. The festival provides the backdrop for access to music, networking opportunities, and other outdoor activities. In just five years the Soul Summit Music festival has become one of the most anticipated outdoor events in New York City.

The festival has successfully created a hub of activity in the immediate community and beyond with weekly visitors from all over the tri-state area and as far away as Florida and everywhere in between. The Festival is the perfect vehicle for reaching emerging urban audiences at the grassroots level with backgrounds as diverse as the music they listen to and the clothes they wear. All with one common goal: the love of music.

Thousands of bodies move as one, as the dance floor unites an infinite supply of love and energy. Our best-kept secret has been attracting some international attention with web sites like youtube, myspace and plenty of personal blogs. This has created interest in the festival from the global dance community with our web site fielding questions and attention from outside the United States as well.
